About This Issue

The third issue of GOBO Magazine is dedicated to Minimalism, not simply as an aesthetic of simplicity, but as a deliberate and disciplined way of seeing.
This edition traces the development of Minimalism and examines its influence on photography and the broader visual arts. It explores the artists and ideas that shaped the movement, alongside its essential technical and conceptual principles: reduction, geometry, repetition, negative space, balance, and visual silence.

Through the work of Iranian and internationally recognized photographers, Issue 3 considers how minimal imagery can carry emotional, poetic, and philosophical depth. By removing distraction and limiting the visual field, Minimalism invites us to look more carefully at light, form, distance, and the subtle relationships between objects and their surroundings.

As a platform for expression and discovery, GOBO Magazine seeks to expand the boundaries of art and photography, engaging with human, social, and aesthetic questions through a thoughtful contemporary perspective.

Editorial Note
