My name is Mustafa Orhan Selçuk, and I was born in Turkey in 1972. I am a pharmacist and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. Since 2017, my wife, son, and I have been living in Paris. For a long time, I used 24mm and 28mm prime lenses. I believe that prime lenses are very beneficial for a photographer's style and skill development. They help you specialize in the angle you work with, they are smaller, lighter, sharper, and generally have faster lenses with a wider aperture. This provides a significant advantage, especially for those who photograph in low-light environments. Their advantages in terms of depth of field are also important. Whatever I am shooting, I usually prefer to shoot up close. I believe that photos taken up close have a much stronger emotional impact. Very recently, after purchasing a portrait lens for my professional work, I began experimenting with street portraits, which gave me a new and fresh perspective.
